Smoother Vinyl Is Better
The Fact is, all vinyl window profiles are not the same. A rough vinyl surface not only looks bad, it will also suffer from increased damage through handling, exposure to the weather, and even cleaning. In addition, a rougher surface means more surface area to absorb damaging solar energy.
In addition to a smoother vinyl surface, LbL ensures the vinyl is color-stabilized to resist discoloration, keeping your windows and doors looking new for a lifetime. Through normal exposure to wind, rain, sun, snow and heat, vinyl windows and doors of lesser quality often experience accelerated aging that results in a deteriorated, dingy appearance. Not so with LbL windows, which retain their original coloration better than the competition.

Single-strength Verses Double-strength Glass
Most window companies use the minimum allowable glass thickness. The glass LbL uses in your windows is twice as thick. The result is flat glass surfaces that prevent a concave "fun house mirror" effect. You’ll also get increased security and better sound control.

Energy efficient to reduce heating and cooling costs. Many of today’s energy efficient windows offer Warm Edge technology with metal-based single seal insulating glass spacers. Metal, however, is highly conductive and susceptible to warping under fluctuating temperatures.
LbL windows and doors are insulated with the highest quality foam Super Spacers® that help regulate the temperature of your home by minimizing conduction, convection, radiation and heat leakage. The all-foam Super Spacer® gives you the added benefit of improved sound absorption and less chance of condensation. Less chance of condensation means fewer opportunities for mold and a healthier indoor environment.
