Yes, the screens are mounted on the inside of the window to the casing.  I'm attaching a photo I received from Genius on the new Incognito line which should give you a good idea of how it is installed.

We also have available from Glide Screen (a Genius distributor) a wood grain powder coating finish in 5 different styles to match a wood window or door frame without having to cover the housing and rails with wood.  I will upload photos of these as soon as I have some.
